Marnelle Garraud

Marnelle Garraud is an agile lead guard with combo guard handles and active defensive instincts (ESPNW). Garraud takes pride in being a facilitator as a point guard in addition to a defensive leader and offensive threat. Garraud is excited to help athletes reach their aspiration and learn to love the game. Garraud graduated from Noble and Greenough school in Dedham, Ma in 2018 aftertransferring for two years from St. Mary’s HS in Lynn, Ma. In two years at St.Mary’s, Garraud was named Central Catholic League MVP and a Boston Herald All-Scholastic/ At Noble and Greenough School, Garraud averaged 13 points, 4 steals, and 5 assists a game. Her 2016-2017 team was ISL Champions, Class AA Champions, and she herself earned Class A East All-Star and New England Tournament Class AA MVP. Garraud scored her 1000th career point her junior year. Garraud is currently furthering her basketball career at the Division I level at Boston College. As a freshman Garraud started 22/30 games and averaged 23.8 minutes, 8.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists a game. In November, Garraud was named the ACC Rookie of the Week. As a sophomore (2019-2020), Garraud started 28/32 games, and averaged a team-high 30.8 minutes with 9.8 points, 3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.9 steals a game. Garraud shot 40.8% from the floor and a team high 38.1% from the three. This season Garraud finished 10th in the ACC in assists per game (3.7), fourth in steals per game (1.9 spg.) and second in total steals (62). In both years Garraud was named to the All-ACC Academic team.
