For the past 5 years, Brendan Butler has dedicated himself to helping basketball players on the South Shore elevate their game. As a player, Butler prides himself on his work ethic, versatility, and basketball IQ; attributes that his coaching methodologies are built upon.
In high school, Butler was a tri-captain at Weymouth High, he played AAU for the CBA Heat and the South Shore Wolfpack, and he won a gold medal at the 2013 Bay State Games. After a brief junior college playing career at Massasoit and Roxbury Community College, Butler found himself lost and looking for motivation. A flyer and a social media post jump-started what would become Brendan’s business, “Butler’s Better Basketball”.
Brendan has ran his training business, been the head coach for several prominent AAU teams, worked at elite camps, and ran basketball clinics with the likes of Corey Cooper, Courtney Sims, and Shawn Whouley.
Since 2019, Butler has attended college in Ireland at I.T. Carlow. In Ireland, Brendan runs basketball camps, trains local players, plays college basketball, and competes in the National League (Division 1) of Ireland. While playing for I.T. Carlow, Butler played in an All Ireland Cup Final, and he is currently preparing for his first season as a Guard/Forward with the Portlaoise Panthers.
Butler studies TV/Media Production in college and hopes to utilize these skills to create basketball content, passion projects, highlight tapes, and game film breakdowns.
